When I attended college, I was not intending to join a fraternity. But that experience transformed my life. It was not the parties but rather the relationships I built sharing a common education experience. The idea of the Scholars Residence was born when I served on the advisory board of a STEM program at a University. Students had the opportunity to share a common dorm. The students in the STEM living group had greater success than other STEM students. I attributed that success to the benefit of having a small support and friendship group. My desire is to provide a similar benefit. The Alpha House, as it's name suggests, is the first in what I hope to be many such living arrangement.
